Confused regarding _info.cs

Hi

When I open the project they all have a missing _info.cs file...why would this be?  I have tried following the instructions such as creating the C:\LinqToXSDBin folder, and adding the environment variable with set LinqToXsdBinDir=C:\linqtoxsdbin

Ideas please?  Visual Studio 2008 used

p.s. if I exclude _info.cs the project DOES build but files not created in C:\linqtoxsdbin

Thanks

Hi,

Steps to build (from http://linqtoxsd.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=204613):

1. Checkout from https://linqtoxsd.svn.codeplex.com/svn/trunk, not export

2. Open build/build.sln in Visual C#.

3. Run the project (press F5).

4. The binary files are ready to use, see build/bin/Debug/linqtoxsd.X.X.X.X-bin/ folder.

Best regards,

Sergey.

For Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5 checkout from https://linqtoxsd.svn.codeplex.com/svn/branches/1.1/.

Hi Sergey,
Thanks I've seen these links
Regarding step 1, what does "not export" mean?, does downloading the zip file from http://linqtoxsd.codeplex.com/ do same....visiting https://linqtoxsd.svn.codeplex.com/svn/trunk gives lots and lots of files
If I unzip the file from http://linqtoxsd.codeplex.com/ and opening the project \linqtoxsd-49966\trunk\build\ gives attached error
Further help much appreciated, thank-you
Richard.

Hi Richard,

There is two options.

  1. You download a zip file and use compiled files. Version 1.1.0 for Visual C# 2008 or Version 2.0.0 for Visual C# 2010.
  2. You checkout using a subversion client (for example TortoiseSVN) and build using the procedure. A subversion client creates ".svn" folders. The folders contain information about source code revision. The build program reads this information and creates "_info.cs" files.
